To Include Everything, Everything, Everything, Absolutely, Absolutely Everything, installation (wooden drawers, toy-cars, paint), 2016, photos: Peter Škrlep
The installation To Include Everything, Everything Everything, Absolutely, Absolutely Everything is composed of parts of two drawers and toy cars. For Vera Stanković the drawers symbolize how an individual is torn between and forced to compartmentalize different roles in life: being an artist, a parent, an economically independent individual, a man or a woman. Therefore, the artist has taken a hammer and crashed the drawers. Then she colored the pieces and played with them as if they were children’s blocks. The installation that ensued is a kind of a remake of child’s play – driving toy cars through the tunnels.
*Oskar and Gašper generously sacrificed out-of-order toys for this work. Thanks, guys!
